    Here is a list of current horses available for adoption and their locations.

    Lumberjack Willie - Standardbred

     Lumberjack Willie is looking for his forever home! Jack is an 18 year old gelding and is full of potential. His freezebrand is 1E727. He came to ASAP when he was 12 years old after he retired from racing. He was broke to ride in 2021. Volunteers say that he is a joy to work with and seems to love the work. 

    We believe that Jack would thrive in a home where he can have a lot of time and attention. 

    All-American Libra - Standardbred

    All-American Libra or “Libra” is located at the ASAP Farm in De Soto, WI. She is broke to ride but would be best for a smaller rider or child. Libra has been a great therapy horse. Libra does have EMS (Equine Metabolic Syndrome) and requires a drylot. 

    Hearts D Sire-Standardbred

    Hearts D Sire is a 19 year old bay Standardbred gelding. He stands about 16 hands tall. He is a seasoned tail horse and  has been ridden in the mountains and on overnight camping trips for years. He is being rehomed due to no fault of his own. Hearts D Sire is located in Wyoming. 

    Be My Escape aka Big Girl - Standardbred

    Not yet broke under saddle. Dark bay mare. Loves humans and will be your best friend.

    Timesareachanging aka Times

    Timesareachanging - 22 year old standardbred gelding. Rides. 15.1 hands. Dark bay.

    Bandit- Morgan Standardbred Cross

    Bandit is an 11 year old gelding. He stands about 14.2 hands. He is broke to ride and volunteers love him. He would best placed in a home that has a drylot. 

    Hope's Early Bird-Standardbred

    Hope's Early Bird, AKA Early or Earl, is a 17 year old, 15.2 hand gelding. He was born in 2008 and his Freeze Brand is 1FD94. Early was bailed out of kill lot in Feb. 2025 and has been in foster care since. Early had a short career as a racehorse and then had a 10 to 12 year career as an amish horse. He has great manner and is ready to find his forever home. 

    Sporty B Skipalong-Standardbred

    Sporty B Skipalong is a bay gelding, born April 30, 2012. He was rescued from a kill lot and is now in foster care. He has been ridden and will be looking for a home with an experinced rider. Sporty B has lot of energy and loves to work. 

    Sonja One- Standardbred

    Sonja One is a 5 year old Standardbred Mare. Her foster home says that she is all brains and beauty. She stands well for tacking and grooming. She is sound and is ready to start a new career. Sonia One is currently located in Illinois.

    Express Stride N- Standardbred

    Strider is an 11 year old standardbred gelding who was imported from New Zealand and raced in the US. He stands 16.2 hands tall and is sound. He was retrained for trail riding and dressage, but is able to go in any direction. He is locaed in Wisconsin. 

    Dasher - Minature Horse

    9 Year old minature horse mare. She is located near La Valle, WI.Her current adopters said that she is broke to ride and drive. She does need to be on a drylot as she has foundered once in the past. 

    Charm- Standardbred

    Charm is a 14 year old Standardbred Gelding with lots of chrome. He is started under saddle but will need a more confident rider. Charm is currently at the ASAP Farm. He is ready to fiind his forever home.

    Lizzy Be Happy - Standardbred

    Lizzy is an 8 year old bay Standardbred mare. Her foster home says that she is a joy to work with. She has been recently started under saddle and is looking forward to finding her forever home and to a new career. She is a petite beautiful little mare and stands about 14.2 hands tall. She is currently located in IL.

    Copper Penny- Standardbred

      

    Copper Penny is a 3-year-old bay gelding that stands around 16 hands tall. He is retiring early from the track due to a fractured sesamoid. He is currently on stall rest in his Illinois foster home. His foster home describes him as very chill, friendly and the in your pocket type guy. He will be able to have a riding career after he finishes stall rest and rehab.

    Feelin Like Captain

    Meet Feelin Like Captain. This handsome fella is a 5 year old, bay standardbred gelding and he stands 16 hands tall. He had a back leg injury that is now rested and healed. He is now ready to start his new chapter. He will be going to foster care in Tolono, Illinois.

    Cow Chip- Standardbred

    Cow Chip is a 23 year old standrdbred mare who is looking for a quiet home to retire. She raced in her younger years and then was a buggy horse for the amish. She stands about 14.3 hands tall. 

    Tracys Hero- Standardbred

    Tracy's Hero is a 16 year old Standbardbred gelding who made almost $40,000 in his racing days. He was then sold most likey as a buggy horse before ending up in a kill lot. He stands about 15.2 hands tall.
